Center for Christian Living
“Developing a Healthier Church” is the current Wednesday evening offering in Garnett’s Center for Christian Living. Bill Campbell is leading this series of lessons designed to highlight the healthier principles of a functional congregation. The class meets in room number 201 from 6:30 until 7:45 pm. This will be week number five of a seven week study. Child care is always available during our class time. You are urged to share in these midweek uplifting weekly offerings.
The Center for Christian Living has started a new daytime class offering with your spiritual growth needs in mind. “Focusing on Fundamentals” is a practical biblical study of the Apostle John’s three New Testament Letters at the end of the New Testament. ”The Real Test of Knowledge,” based on I John 2:1-12, is the second lesson in this study. It is not too late for you to be a participant in this discussion class. Meeting in room number 201 at Garnett, the class is conducted from 1:30 to 3 pm each Tuesday afternoon.

Real Marriage Class Beginning August 19
New Ladies’ Class Begins August 19
Beginning Sunday, August 19, the ladies’ class will begin a new Beth Moore study - Daniel: Lives of Integrity, Words of Prophecy. Please join us in the Green Country Event Center office in Hallway 2 after services. For information on ordering a workbook for this class, please contact Jo Morton.
Daughters of Anna Luncheon
The August Daughters of Anna Luncheon will be held Sunday, August 26, after classes in the Great Room. All ladies that attend services alone are invited to attend.
Art 4 Wells Art Show & Potluck Lunch
The Art show will be September 9. Art can be dropped off any time at the “Art 4 Wells” table in Cafe Mosaic, or bring it to the church office with a price and mark it “Art Show.” Items can be purchased at any time. All proceeds will be combined with the Wheels 4 Wells donations and used for welding equipment to help repair broken water wells in Uganda.
We are planning a potluck lunch on September 9 after worship service to coincide with the Art 4 Wells Art Show. Instead of classes, we will stay in the Auditorium and have lunch between 11:15 am and 12:15 pm. Chef Roy will provide meat and drinks and we will bring sides. Donations will be accepted to cover the cost of meat. More information to follow.

We will be going to New Life Ranch again for our annual Fall Retreat Friday, November 2-Sunday November 4! Registration forms can be found at the Coffee Bar, or by contacting Beth West.
Cost: Adults: $85; 7-12yrs: $65; 3-6 yrs: $45; 0-2: free
Saturday or Sunday only: $25
Family Discount: 4 or more people–$5 off per person
Early Registration deadline: Before September 1–$15 discount per person; before October 1–$10 discount per person
