The Student Ministry recommends this free session by Dr. Bingman, who holds the Oxley Foundation Chair in Child Psychiatry. Child and adolescent psychiatrist Dr. Jana Bingman will offer help on interpreting the many moods of teenagers and recognizing when their behavior indicates something more than the usual ups and downs of these years. Student Ministry Update

September 1, 2010 by

Lance Newsom is our Community Minister who will be the new director of the student ministry to coordinate volunteers and students as they walk together with Christ.

Because Lance has been a long-time part of the student ministry, we believe the ministry will continue strongly and also be infused with a vision that is consistent with this discipling vision of our entire church.

Lance is still our Community Minister but this “Director” role is focused on helping bring core team adults and students together in programs, activities, learning experiences. He will still have many other roles in the church as Community Minister, so we’re just making this distinction between a “Student Minister” and “Director” so the focus will be on helping set vision and work with lots of team members and students to make everything work well in student ministry.

Lance will be calling together the core team of 8-10 individuals or families to share responsibilities and roles, so be listening for that soon. Email Lance if you have questions.
