Sterling had some sort of a seizure Monday afternoon. We rushed him to the pediatrician and he said it was a grand mall seizure. There is a 60-80% chance it will never happen again, but we just don’t know. Dr. says it could happen again in a week, a month, six months, or a year – he couldn’t say right now.
We are scheduled to be at St. Francis Hospital New Years Eve at 3:00 p.m. for an MRI and are still waiting for an appointment with one of Tulsa’s only two pediatric neurologists for an EEG.
Dr. said if it was a one time sort of seizure we won’t be able to tell much from either of these tests, however, if it is one of several others types that something will/may show up. Process of elimination, etc. Of course, if there is some sort of tumor or something that should show up too. He indicated that it didn’t point to tumor at the moment due to his shaking all over vs. just one body part so we are praying for the best.
Please pass on to any other prayer chains you know of……love you and will keep you posted!
