Children In the absence of a Children’s Minister we will be dividing responsibilities. Susie Haltom will be responsible for the Curriculum Room and Janet Collins will provide copies of the curriculum. Teachers are still in place for Sundays and Wednesdays, but we are currently looking for two coordinators—one for teachers and one for activities. If you have questions or would like to volunteer, contact Greg Taylor. Students Pool Party!! We will have an end of summer pool party TONIGHT, August 22nd, from 6-8 pm at the Taylor’s neighborhood pool. Bring $5 and a snack.

Here are some options for directions:

1. Take 129th St. (Olive) south to Tucson (121st) and turn left. Continue on through the stop sign at Aspen (145th). Take the 2nd right on Redbud. This street dead ends at the pool.

2. Take 169 South to the Creek Turnpike. Take the Creek Turnpike east towards Broken Arrow. Take the Olive Exit and turn right. At Tucson turn left. Continue on through the stop sign at Aspen (145th). Take the 2nd right on Redbud. This street dead ends at the pool.

Community Garnett Student Ministry Bake Sale The Garnett Student Ministry is hosting a Bake Sale today to help fund their Fall Retreat. Stop by before or after the Worship Service and support our youth!

Announcements Because so many people travel on Labor Day weekend, we will not have adult or children’s Bible classes on Sunday, September 5. We will have Worship at 10 am.

Cafe Mosaic We’ve had a great summer of Cafe Mosaic events and are excited about scheduling more concerts and events for the fall. But we need some help! Right now we’re looking for some people to come up and help run the Coffee Bar on Wednesday nights. You don’t even have to like coffee to help out! We just need some friendly people who will greet those that come by. We’ll show you how to make the coffee-it’s easy! Please let Beth West know if this sounds interesting to you. Prayer Requests Jane Archer, mother of Elaine Russell, broke her hip. She has had surgery and is in rehab in Springfield, Mo. Elaine is requesting our prayers. Gordon McDaniel

We have received word that David Cooper, a former Garnett member, has passed away. Services were held Friday, August 20, at Moore’s in Owasso.
