Volunteer Opportunities

There are lots of ways for you to invest in the children of Garnett! Please contact Janet at the church office if you are interested in helping with any of these areas!

Greeters, rotations Sunday 9am & 10am, or Wednesday 7pm

Smile, meet incoming families, assist with nametags, and direct traffic

Arrive 15 minutes early, but can leave after the first 15 minutes for your own class

Little League Nursery, rotations Sunday 9am & 10am, or Wed 7pm

Love on our little ones birth-toddler.  Curriculum provided.

Huddles

Huddle Group Leaders, every Sunday 9am

Welcome children(15 mins), lead to large group(20 mins), prayer and memory(20mins)

Activity Leaders, Sunday 10am (choose one per month)

JV Preschool:  activities during service         Varsity Elementary: activities during sermon

Supplies and lessons will be provided for you

Activity Leaders, Wednesday 7pm (choose one per month)

Supplies and lessons will be provided for you

End zone productions

Hosts, rotations Sunday 9am

MC  large group meetings. A script is provided.

15 minutes (except 60 minutes for Family End Zones on 2nd Sunday of the month)

Worship Leaders, rotations Sunday 9am

Lead children in praise with contemporary song

10 minutes (except 60 minutes for Family End Zones on 2nd Sunday of the month)

Storytellers, rotations Sunday 9am

Share the bible portion of the story with large group.  Script provided.

Actors, 2nd Sunday of the month 9am

Recurring roles in the Family End Zone production (will require some rehearsal)

Sound/Lights, rotations Sunday 9am

Run the light and sound board for production and large group (training available)

Behind the scenes

Curriculum Boxes, time is up to individual

Pack teacher boxes with all needed supplies for activities

Bulletin Boards, time is up to individual

Design and implement boards in hallways

Props/ Sets, time is up to individual

Gather props, build sets, paint…be creative as the need arises
